S.E.E. Imports was founded
in 1975 by Sharron and Elias Emergui. The company name is not
only their initials but stood for the Society of European Exporters,
which was apropos at the time.
Since 1975, they have expanded
their horizons on many fronts. In the early-1980’s they were some of the first pioneers to import from the Asian furniture manufacturers. Sharron & Elias
had the vision to take traditional designs and put new spins on them
using different materials, like stone, wicker and rattan to create
entirely new looks.
This move had a profound
effect on the growth of S.E.E. Imports. It was exponential growth in a short period of time. From
200 styles sold, S.E.E. Imports jumped to over 1,000 styles in a
period of just five years.
S.E.E. Imports has maintained
its form to introduce many new items each year in an effort to bring
new and valuable product to the market place. Always keeping
value and design in mind.
In 2000, S.E.E. Imports celebrated its 25th anniversary
in style and with the addition of “The Third Generation.” With grandchildren now in tow, the Emergui’s
remain committed to bringing integrity to the home furnishings industry
for many years to come.
